Hill Farm is a historic, country resort that offers our guests a peaceful and luxurious retreat. Located just ten minutes from Manchester, Hill Farm is a 70-acre campus on a 230-year-old farm with endless mountain views and riverside walking trails. Our Main Inn has been welcoming guests for over 150 years and has been fully restored and renovated to the highest standards. Our recently opened Restaurant at Hill Farm serves the very best of southern Vermont cuisine, sourced from our own garden and our neighboring farms. Once here, you never need to leave. Guests can warm themselves by our grand, wood-burning fireplace in the Main Inn or by the charming gas-fired stoves located in the cottages and select rooms in the Inn. Seasonal fire pits located throughout our property are perfect for bonding with friends over a drink or our complimentary s’mores.

Fly Fishing
Hill Farm is blessed with over a mile of frontage on the Battenkill River, famed for being the home of Orvis as well as beautiful brown and brook trout. We have teamed with the skilled and affable guides from Trico Unlimited to offer our guests on-site fly fishing lessons and/or guided days on the river.

Lawn & Games
Hill Farm has over three acres of great green lawns adjacent to the Inn and Restaurant. It's a great place for relaxing in the sun or shade in our Adirondack chairs, or enjoying a game of croquet, bag-o or badminton.
THE RESTAURANT AT HILL FARM
Eat.
We opened The Restaurant at Hill Farm in 2022 to offer our guests fine, farm-to-table dining and a full service bar. Chef Austin Poulin curates seasonal menus showcasing the best of Southern Vermont’s fresh produce and meats. The Restaurant is blessed with beautiful views of the farm and the surrounding Green Mountains. The Restaurant is open for dinner four nights a week and offers outdoor seating when the weather permits.

Stayed for the weekend at one of the houses / cottages. The place was BEAUTIFUL and the food was amazing. The tasting menu for dinner was out of this world - Austin the chef is wonderful. Amazing hikes in the Green Mountains and the town of Manchester is cute and fun to walk around. 100% would go back!
